Dr. Elkoushy is a Urologist at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and a member of the Department of Surgery. He brings more than 25 years of international clinical and academic experience in urology, with a focus on endourology and minimally invasive urologic surgery.
He completed his medical degree, Master’s, and PhD in Urology at Suez Canal University in Egypt. Dr. Elkoushy subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in endourology and clinical research at the McGill University Health Centre in Montréal, with specialized expertise in laser management of infravesical obstruction and virtual reality simulation in urologic training.
Dr. Elkoushy is an active researcher and educator and has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, including contributions to leading urology reference texts such as Campbell-Walsh Urology and Smith’s Textbook of Endourology. His academic work has been recognized through multiple international awards for research and clinical innovation.
